Praise and Worship of the Lord! Bookmark and Share

If you're saved, praising and worshipping the Lord is an important part of our fellowship with the Lord. After all, what a great gift we have been freely given by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Below is a list of praise and worship verses, and you will notice that many of the verses are from Psalms. After all, God said David was a man after His own heart ... Acts 13:22. How great if God thought that about each of us!


Praise the Lord
1. The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; my father's God, and I will extol Him ... Exodus 15:2.
2. Who is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders? ... Exodus 15:11.
3. He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen ... Deut 10:21.
4. Hear, O kings; give ear, O rulers! I — to the LORD, I will sing, I will sing praise to the LORD, the God of Israel ... Judges 5:3.
5. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies ... 2 Sam 22:4.
6. Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the nations, and I will sing praises to Your name ... 2 Sam 22:50.
7. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders ... 1Chron 16:9.
8. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods ... 1 Chron 16:25.
9. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the LORD in holy array ... 1 Chron 16:29.
10. O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Then say, "Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name, and glory in Your praise." Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. Then all the people said, "Amen," and praised the LORD ... 1 Chron 16:34-36.
11. Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name ... 1 Chron 29:13.

... and when they praised the LORD saying, "He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting," then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God ... 2 Chron 5:13-14.

13. All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down and the glory of the LORD upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the LORD, saying, " Truly He is good, truly His lovingkindness is everlasting." ... 2 Chron 7:3.
14. They sang, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, saying, "For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever." And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.... Ezra 3:11.
15. Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah, said, "Arise, bless the LORD your God forever and ever! O may Your glorious name be blessed and exalted above all blessing and praise! ... Neh 9:5.
16. Worship the LORD with reverence and rejoice with trembling ... Psalm 2:11.
17. I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High ... Psalm 7:17.
18. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High ... Psalm 9:2.
19. Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion; declare among the peoples His deeds ... Psalm 9:11.
20. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies ... Psalm 18:3.
21. Therefore I will give thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, and I will sing praises to Your name ... Psalm 18:49.
22. Be exalted, O LORD, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power ... Psalm 21:13.
23. I will tell of Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You. You who fear the LORD, praise Him ... Psalm 22:22-23.
24. My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those who fear Him. The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Him will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever! ... Psalm 22:25-26.
25. All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will worship before You ... Psalm 22:27.
26. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; worship the LORD in holy array ... Psalm 29:2.
27. Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name ... Psalm 30:4.
28. You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever ... Psalm 30:11-12.
29. Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright. Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings ... Psalm 33:1-3.
30. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD; the humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together ... Psalm 34:1-3.
31. I will give You thanks in the great congregation; I will praise You among a mighty throng ... Psalm 35:18.
32. And my tongue shall declare Your righteousness and Your praise all day long ... Psalm 35:28.
33. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD ... Psalm 40:3.
34. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence ... Psalm 42:5.
35. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God ... Psalm 42:11.
36. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God ... Psalm 43:4.
37. Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a skillful psalm ... Psalm 47:6.
38. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, His holy mountain ... Psalm 48:1.
39. As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness ... Psalm 48:10.
40. O Lord, open my lips, that my mouth may declare Your praise ... Psalm 51:15.
41. In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid what can mere man do to me ... Psalm 56:4.
42. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises ... Psalm 57:7.
43. I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations ... Psalm 57:9.
44. O my strength, I will sing praises to You; for God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness ... Psalm 59:17.
45. So I will sing praise to Your name forever, that I may pay my vows day by day ... Psalm 61:8.
46. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You ... Psalm 63:3.
47. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips ... Psalm 63:5.
48. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious ... Psalm 66:1-2.
49. All the earth will worship You, and will sing praises to You; they will sing praises to Your name ... Psalm 66:4.
50. Bless our God, O peoples, and sound His praise abroad ... Psalm 66:8.
51. God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us — Selah. That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You ... Psalm 67:1-3.
52. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, whose name is the LORD, and exult before Him ... Psalm 68:4.
53. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praises to the Lord, Selah ... Psalm 68:32.
54. I will praise the name of God with song and magnify Him with thanksgiving ... Psalm 69:30.
55. Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them ... Psalm 69:34.
56. For You are my hope; O Lord GOD, You are my confidence from my youth. By You I have been sustained from my birth; You are He who took me from my mother's womb; My praise is continually of You ... Psalm 71:5-6.
57. My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your glory all day long ... Psalm 71:8.
58. But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more ... Psalm 71:14.
59. I will also praise You with a harp, even Your truth, O my God; to You I will sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; and my soul, which You have redeemed ... Psalm 71:22-23.
60. Let not the oppressed return dishonored; let the afflicted and needy praise Your name ... Psalm 74:21.
61. But as for me, I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob ... Psalm 75:9.
62. We will not conceal them from their children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wondrous works that He has done ... Psalm 78:4.
63. So we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture will give thanks to You forever; to all generations we will tell of Your praise ... Psalm 79:13.
64. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and they shall glorify Your name ... Psalm 86:9.
65. The heavens will praise Your wonders, O LORD; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones ... Psalm 89:5.
66. It is good to give thanks to the LORD and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High ... Psalm 92:1.
67. O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation ... Psalm 95:1.
68. Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker ... Psalm 95:6.
69. Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth ... Psalm 96:1.
70. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods ... Psalm 96:4.
71. Worship the LORD in holy attire; Tremble before Him, all the earth ... Psalm 96:9.
72. O sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him ... Psalm 98:1.
73. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.1. Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody ... Psalm 98:4-5.
74. The LORD reigns, let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth shake ... Psalm 99:1.
75. Let them praise Your great and awesome name; Holy is He ... Psalm 99:3.
76. Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His footstool; Holy is He ... Psalm 99:5.
77. Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy hill, for holy is the LORD our God ... Psalm 99:9.
78. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the LORD Himself is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations ... Psalm 100:1-5.
79. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, to You, O LORD, I will sing praises ... Psalm 101:1.
80. This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD ... Psalm 102:18.
81. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name ... Psalm 103:1.
82. I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being ... Psalm 104:33.
83. Let sinners be consumed from the earth and let the wicked be no more Bless the LORD, O my soul praise the LORD ... Psalm 104:35.
84. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders ... Psalm 105:2.
85. Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting ... Psalm 106:1.
86. Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, "Amen." Praise the LORD! ... Psalm 106:47-48.
87. Let them extol Him also in the congregation of the people, and praise Him at the seat of the elders ... Psalm 107:32.
88. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul ... Psalm 108:1.
89. I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations ... Psalm 108:3.
90. With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the LORD; and in the midst of many I will praise Him ... Psalm 109:30.
91. Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, in the company of the upright and in the assembly ... Psalm 111:1.
92. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever ... Psalm 111:10.
93. Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments ... Psalm 112:1.
94. Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD ... Psalm 113:1.
95. From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised ... Psalm 113:3.
96. The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence; but as for us, we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forever. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 115:17-18.
97. In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 116:19.
98. Praise the LORD, all nations; laud Him, all peoples! For His lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 117:1-2.
99. Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous ordinances ... Psalm 119:164.
100. Let my lips utter praise for You teach me Your statutes ... Psalm 119:171.

103. Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD; praise Him, O servants of the LORD, you who stand in the house of the LORD, iIn the courts of the house of our God! Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is lovely ... Psalm 135:1-3.
104. Blessed be the LORD from Zion, who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 135:21.
105. I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing praises to You before the gods ... Psalm 138:1.
106. I will sing a new song to You, O God; upon a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You ... Psalm 144:9.
107. I will extol You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts ... Psalm 145:1-4.
108. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever ... Psalm 145:21.
109. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being ... Psalm 146:1-2.
110. The LORD will reign forever, Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 146:10.
111. Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and praise is becoming ... Psalm 147:1.
112. Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praises to our God on the lyre, who covers the heavens with clouds, who provides rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains ... Psalm 147:7-8.
113. Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion ... Psalm 147:12.
114. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light! Praise Him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created ... Psalm 148:1-5.
115. Praise the LORD from the earth, Sea monsters and all deeps ... Psalm 148:7.
116. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven. And He has lifted up a horn for His people, Praise for all His godly ones; even for the sons of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 148:13-14.
117. Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the godly ones ... Psalm 149:1.
118. Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre ... Psalm 149:3.
119. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand ... Psalm 149:6.
120. Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD ... Psalm 150:1-6.
121. Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth ... Isaiah 12:5.
122. O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; for You have worked wonders, plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness ... Isaiah 25:1.
123. I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to graven images ... Isaiah 42:8.
124. Sing to the LORD a new song, sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it you islands, and those who dwell on them ... Isaiah 42:10.
125. Let them give glory to the LORD and declare His praise in the coastlands ... Isaiah 42:12.
126. The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise ... Isaiah 43:21.
127. Sing to the LORD, praise the LORD! For He has delivered the soul of the needy one from the hand of evildoers ... Jeremiah 20:13.
128. For thus says the LORD," Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations; proclaim, give praise and say, 'O LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel ... Jeremiah 31:7.
129. To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and power; even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, for You have made known to us the king's matter ... Daniel 2:23.
130. But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; for His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom endures from generation to generation ... Daniel 4:34.
131. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride ... Daniel 4:37.
132. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; then My people will never be put to shame ... Joel 2:26.
133.

As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, shouting: "Blessed is the King who comes in the Name of the Lord; peace in heaven and glory in the highest ... Luke 19:37-38.

134. But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened ... Acts 16:25-26.
135. For it is written," As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give PRAISE to God ... Romans 14:11.
136.

For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers, and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, "Therefore I will give praise to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing to Your Name." Again he says, "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people ... Romans 15:8-10.

137. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ ... Ephesians 1:3.
138. ... saying," I will proclaim Your Name to my brethren, in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praise ... Hebrews 2:12.
139. Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name ... Hebrews 13:15.
140. Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises ... James 5:13.
141. ... so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ ... 1 Peter 1:7.
142. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing ... Rev 5:12.
143. saying, 'Amen, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever.' Amen ... Rev 7:12.
144. And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great." Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns ... Rev 19:5-6.
